Roll up, roll up! Spread the word to your students, friends and family about the awesome line up for our second Back To Ours festival which is once again taking place at a school near you during the May half-term holidays.
Kingswood Academy, Archbishop Sentamu Academy, Hymers College, Winifred Holtby Academy and Sirius Academy West are once again venue partners for this fabulous festival, which brings award-winning shows to the heart of the community.
With eight festival venues and ten different shows over six days there is something for everyone. This time expect even more magical moments, heartfelt stories and belly-laughing jokes, as well as some acrobatic antics.

Shows for primary school students include:
THE BOY WHO BIT PICASSO
This hilarious family theatre show features storytelling, music and the chance to get your art on. For ages 3+.
THE FUNNY THING ABOUT
James Campbell’s stand up for kids will have everyone lolling, as he makes fun of everything from pets to parents. For ages 6+.
PICTURE HOUSE – THE LION KING
We bring one of the most loved animated features to our Picture House in this musical extravaganza. Watch animals come alive and let us hear your roar. For ages 0+.
PICTURE HOUSE – GREASE
Join us for a sing-a-long screening of this 1978 masterpiece. Ahead of the film our Pink Ladies will get you hand jiving and warmed up with musical medleys. For ages 0+.
Enter the circus ring and be prepared to be left amazed by Ockham’s Razor in this mesmerising show that combines circus acrobatics with playground antics and trust games. For ages 6+.

WORD ON THE STREET
Spoken word is poetry at its most striking, most fun and most colourful. Watch the country’s best live poets tell tales alongside local talent and live music. For ages 14+.
Based on a true story, Yvette is a powerful one woman show about a stolen childhood and growing up with a secret. For ages 14+
BANDS, BANDS, BANDS!
With a different gig in each area, Hull’s hottest bands return to their own stomping ground to rock local venues. For ages 14+.

A range of accessible performances are taking place as part of the Back To Ours festival, these include:
* A relaxed performance of The Boy Who Bit Picasso at Hymers College, 11am on Sat 3 Jun.
* A relaxed performance of Tipping Point at Winifred Holtby Academy, 2pm on Wed 31 May.
* BSL interpreted performance of The Funny Thing About at Sirius Academy West, 3pm on Wed 31 May.
* BSL interpreted performance of Yvette at Archbishop Sentamu Academy, 7.30pm on Fri 2 Jun.
